Matt Hicks

Hicks comes to Sellers Dorsey from Grady Health System, one of the largest safety net hospitals in the nation, where he served as senior vice president and chief policy officer for more than 10 years. In this role, he oversaw all national, state, and local public policy and advocacy efforts. During his tenure, Hicks partnered with multiple stakeholders to develop and implement a comprehensive approach to improve health outcomes and lower costs by transforming how health care is delivered for Atlanta’s uninsured population. His work has resulted in significant funding for the safety net and improvements that benefit Grady’s operations and the community they serve.

Hicks began his career working on social services and health care issues for a member of the U.S. Senate. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Yale University and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University.
